DtecForum: Living in a Virtual World – The Future of Virtual and Augmented Reality

Our first Dtec Forum of 2017 was held on Tuesday 21st March.  More than 100 people attended the session focused on some of the most talked about technologies of the current era – Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). These cutting edge technologies are changing the way we look at and experience the world around us.

Produced in partnership with the AR/ VR Association and MAD Talks, AR VR Dtec Forum featured speaking sessions from Karim Saad: Founder & VR Film Maker, Giga Works, one of the leading exponents of Virtual Reality in the Middle East, Matthias Krampe: Co-Founder & Director, Auggd.com who highlighted how augmented reality can change the way we view and interact with the worlk around us. Tariq Qureishy, Founder of Mad Talks led a session on 10X thinking highlighting how we all need to change the way we think in order to keep up with the pace of current innovation and change.

Tariq also moderated the final panel session entitled The Growth & Challenges of AR/ VR in the region with participation from Hassan Kiyany: Visual Storyteller & Founder of Kiyany Media, Vikrant Shetty: Director, Wave Maker MEC, Bilal Sikkander: Projects Director, Takeleap, Ramy El Hefni: Founder, Virtual Worlds
