A tech startup event featuring top speakers and panelists from the entrepreneurial ecosystem along with DSO’s annual startup pitch competition offering cash prizes and free company setup in Dtec. The Entrepreneur Day attracts 500+ founders, investors, executives and media to an engaging and interactive event. The showcase area gives startups a space to exhibit and new for 2016 is the addition of a second day, featuring focused workshop sessions.

1st day – Wednesday 16th November: Conference

Keynote speaker Dr Tommy Weir, author of “Leadership Dubai Style”. Along with being a bestselling author, Dr Tommy Weir coaches CEO’s from around the world. He specializes in helping executives reach peak performance and his keynote session will show you how to become a great leader.
Along with the pitch competition where 8 shortlisted companies will pitch their ideas for the chance to win $10,000.
The conference will also feature a fireside chat with Nuno Goncalves Pedro and Joy Ajlouni on “How to Attract International Investors”. Nuno is a Partner at Delta Partners Group based in San Francisco, and co-founder and CEO at Strive Capital. Nuno specializes in early-stage to mid-stage/growth investments. Joy Ajlouni is Co Founder and Creative Director at Fetchr, the home grown delivery app that has successfully raised $11m in series A funding in June 2015.
Further panel sessions include “Startups vs Corporates: How Collaboration Can Speed Innovation” featuring panelists from IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Shortpoint and Wrappup, “Disrupting Travel”, featuring panelists from Hyperloop One, and the new Emirates Accellerator “Intelak” and our regular “Startup Success Stories” feature.
You can end day 1 with informal networking over a barbecue, ping pong, tournament and music.

2nd day – Thursday 17th November: Workshop
