Dubai Silicon Oasis and Etisalat Set to Host 13th TechForum on January 28
Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, in partnership with Etisalat, the Middle East’s leading telecommunications operator and one of the largest corporations in the GCC region, is set to host its 13th bi-monthly “TechForum” event that will showcase the latest innovations in traffic management solutions, lighting technology, and driver assistance systems.
The event will be held on 28th January, 2014 at the DSO headquarters from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. It will bring together IT professionals, academic experts and students with a view to promoting technological awareness and entrepreneurship, as well as capacity building, and innovation in Dubai.
The forum will be headlined by Lieutenant Mohamed Darwish Al Baluki from Abu Dhabi Police, Engineer Ali Omari, Projects Manager at SAAED for Traffic Systems, a UAE-based company that offers technical solutions and modern smart systems, Marcel Kruetzfeldt, Product and Price Manager at Audi Middle East and Govind Rao, Vice president of SMB Marketing at Etisalat.
Engineer Omari and Lieutenant Al Baluki from Abu Dhabi Police will offer participants insights into latest traffic management solutions including Emirates Vehicle gateway (EVG), ‘iRadar’ and ‘iPatrol’. The Emirates Vehicles Gate (EVG) is a first-of-its-kind interface for relevant authorities to record and monitor all accident claims through the services of EVG. Using this information, vital industry statistical data can be collected for analysis and claims and accident improvement processes. The centralised database also records the claims history of vehicles and information of owners/drivers of vehicles involved in an accident.
Marcel Kruetzfeldt, Product and Price Manager at Audi Middle East, will provide an insight into Audi technology, highlighting innovations such as the driver assistance systems and digitization that Audi is currently working towards implementing in its next line of cars.
TechForum attendees will have the chance to have a closer look at Abu Dhabi Police latest Mercedes Benz iPatrol car; while the UAE’s Audi R8 Club will be displaying 5 of their R8 cars.
Adnan Al Bahar, VP – Marketing & Corporate Communications at DSOA, said: “At DSOA, we take pride in being early adopters of best-in-class technologies for the benefit of our tenants and partners at Dubai Silicon Oasis. We are pleased to start the first TechForum in 2014 with Abu Dhabi Police and Audi on the same platform to discuss latest traffic management solution technologies as well as latest automotive technologies.”
“The TechForum series was launched by DSOA in 2012 and has received great interest from participants since its commencement. This year we will continue hosting such forums that bring latest technological topics to our audience,” Adnan added.
Ayman Ibrahim El Dessouky, Chief Sales Officer, Etisalat UAE said: “Our long time association with Dubai Silicon Oasis and the TechForum have provided us a platform to interact with global technology giants as well as experts from around the region. Such forums help us engage with our audiences and at the same time provide them an insight into our integrated service portfolio. Etisalat’s business portfolio offers services and solutions targeting all verticals which was only possible by continuous engagement with our target audiences.”
